Feel free to email privately, for on such a subject, given my past studies in economics of development, I could talk endlessly... But what I want to say aloud on this board is that I opened my eyes on the real issues as I had started a MBA cursus in one of the most well known business schools in the US. There I witnessed what was taught and felt appealed. As any of you ever read Machiavel's treatrise on political power? Oh, sorry, I forgot to mention that I am french. Yes, I'm sure that one's type does make a difference, we do not share the same inner drives and time frame. This makes a huge difference.

: Sorry if this is a misuse of the message board but I've noticed that a lot of you - in fact most of you are Americans - not Australians like myself. So I'm curious about anything you could tell me about public opinion in the USA concerning the S11 Alliance (Of which I was a member) and its attempt to shut the WEF down in Melbourne this week just before the Olympics(greatest waste of time & money in history).

: I Spent 29 hours on the Barricades fighting police in riot gear and blocking/attacking buses, cars and boats carrying corporate heads and state leaders to the meeting. Eventually the WEF organisers lost patience with us and 7,000 police attacked us (the protesters from the S11 Alliance) on the last day crushing the resistance wounding thousands and hospitalising dozens.

: The Media in Australia is owned by the people running the conference and so we (The S11 alliance) were criticised, misrepresented and vilified. In fact it wasn't until the blatant police brutality in the crack down on us that they started to tell the story in a less biased fashion.

: So what I'm asking from anyone kind enough to read this:

: What was the significance of the protests overseas (Particularly America)?

: What do you think about the WTO, WEF, S11, Seattle and Economic Rationalism?

: Are ones, fives and fours the most rebelious types (they made up 90% of the crowd by my estimates) or are they simply more likely to have a deeper understanding of economic issues?

: My associates would be EXTREMELY interested in ANY comments you could add from the international media. Please if you can send some outside feedback on this issue that has rocked my nation even though the news media seem to deny that it ever happened.

: Thank you!
