Of course, there was no confirmation either. I maintain skepticism. Lack of denial is a pretty weak indicator of guilt. None of us know what is going on and there is little point in jumping to conclusions of any sort at this time.

Sheesh...would you calmly explain to people how your cat was tortured and killed? As detached as I am, I don't think I'd be able to do that. This whole thing just strikes me as screwy and I don't feel that there is anything concrete about this. Ask me in a week when/if this all settles out into something that makes sense. If I'd been accused, I'd be more pissed off at people that assumed my guilt than I would be concerned with dignifying the accusations with a denial.
