i'm not convinced that there's anything of the sort, tho it's possible. funny thing about "random" trials. take note of the order that the computer picks its cards. it seems like there's a pattern there. i think this pattern is what you subconsiously pick up on. also, it's interesting that if you pick the same card every time, you'll get between 100% below chance (0 hits in 30-something trials) and i also got up to 187% above chance. i wonder how "random" this chance really is. any good statistician will tell you that streaks and slumps are very normal in a random dataset. if you're not psychic, and you just had two computers picking randomly and seeing how often they matched up, you'd expect to see an average result of 20% accuracy, but there'd be outliers. in a lone enough trial, the standard deviation would drop tho, as more of the trials settled down in the long run.
