same here. interesting. i've noticed that lots of 5s have a 3 5 or 1 as a parent. all the 5s i've spoken to about that say that that's where they get their obsession with performing well and competing fiercly mentally.

i've noticed something wierd about 5s. i know a lot of 5s (like, a dozen or so), and only one of them is female. in fact, i'm not so sure she's a 5. are there any out there? not asking cause i'm looking for a date, just genuinely curious about the gender bias of the type. it doesnt' seem particularly masculine to be a 5, i mean, i could imagine a female 5, and i know about the same number of males and females of all the other types. do perhaps the female 5s think that there are no male 5s becuase we repel each other in some way? any ideas?

i wrote up a "you might be a 5 if..." list just to prove to my friends that this guy we know is most DEFINITELY a 5 and all the people who thought he was a 4 just didn't know what they were talking about...

if the conversation lasted so long because you **KNEW** that carbon oxides are !!NOT!! organic and all of your friends were too thickheaded to believe you, you are defintely a 5.

if "all of your friends" is the other 5 who would talk for 45 minutes about the meaning of "organic", you are so deep in 5 territory.

if you are more eloquent in sanscrit, vulcan, or c++ than in your native tongue, you might be a 5.

if you know the names of more greek gods than "real" people, you might be a 5.

if you just know got that joke with the quotes around "real" (that none of us really *know* that anything is real) you're probably a 5.

if you laughed at that joke, you're a 5.

if you have a room full of pieces of computer, you're probably a 5.

if you have a profound respect for the stylistic value of duct taped shoes, you may be a 5.

if you heard about the enneagram, and instantly said, "that's total bullshit!" then proceeded to learn everything you could about it, you may be a 5.

if you've ever gutted your only phone so you could use the parts to fix your graphing calculator, you're likely a 5.

and if you did this purely to figure out some mathematical thing just cuase you were wondering about it, you're a 5.

if you were expecting an important phone call at the time, you are definitely a 5.
