You're all alone in your house, and a psychopathic killer is coming toward you with a meat cleaver. You know he's a psychopathic killer because you saw the story of his prison escape on the news. You also know that he thinks mass murder is "fun"; he killed his entire family, and thrilled to the sight of their blood splurting like geysers from their major arteries.

You have two things within reach. One is a loaded pistol, and another is a sign that says "With power must come responsibility and mercy." You only have time to grab and use one of them. Which one will it be?

It should be the sign, of course, right? After all, that makes your civil rights clear as crystal.

Or maybe if you had a sign that said "e=mc^2," you could hold up the sign and say "Stand back or I'll split an atom and blow you up." :)
