: I've also noticed that the type we tend to hate the most is our direction of integration.
In the low-average range? Sixes, mainly with a Seven Wing. The other subtype has an added apparent dimension of depth, and thus grates less upon my nerves.
Would that make me a Three? Maybe, but other possibilities exist. I'm sure you can think of a few reasons why an average Four (me) would consider a low-average Six to be the most ludicrous, petty mockery of everything that is dignified in life.
Their alliance mentality, when taken to an extreme, is annoying enough. Their folsky, insistent narrowness is even worse. According to withdrawn types like Four and Five, the Six's difficulty with independent thought is appalling. To us, the psychic cord that ties Sixes to authority figures, whether by qualities of submission or rebellion, seems to degradate them. While a Four is busy appreciating beauty in order to define himself, he may consider the fixation of inventing far-fetched worst-case scenarios and worrying about "meaningless" details to be comically provincial, even though, holistically speaking, all ego defenses are equally provincial.
