Enneagram Type 5 Board Archive Just another testing complaintPosted by Sambersil on October 17, 2000 at 18:13:39: I took the new test by Tal. Not only did it say that I am not a 5 at all (if you doubt this, read my philosophy, most of which is posted on this board), but it said that my second highest score (highest was 4, that's about right) was 3. The most inappropriate single adjective that is possible to apply to me is "motivated". For two words, that would be "success motivated". I often have so much trouble motivating myself that I wake up early in the morning to do homework so that I have stress to force myself to work. I think that these Enneagram tests are not accurate for 5 personalities and those personalities similar to 5 personalities. A 5 may believe strongly in certain ideals that are not necessarily part of his/her personality. For example, I think that enjoying life and being spontaneous are very important for happiness, but I am spontaneous and attempt to enjoy life more out of duty to the idea rather than some primal drive. A 5 can endorse an idea and be ruled by it without endorsing and being ruled by the actual meaning of the idea.
