Enneagram Type 5 Board Archive maybe logic ain't the right wordPosted by emoot on November 16, 2001 at 08:58:15: In Reply to: In 3rd grade posted by RoTtEn ApPlE on November 15, 2001 at 14:33:49: I had a brain cramp yesterday. I was thinking of logic in the sense that it follows established rules. And creativity as orginal brainstorming. Probably because the book I read this info in was mainly about creative children. But as I thought more about it yesterday I think what I was really getting at was more of convergent and divergent thinking. Convergent thinkers like to do steps.....go from A to B It's totally possible to think logically and be divergent. Scientist should be this way. Thinking out of the box types but being able to use the rules where they apply. My ENTP sister is very left handed and when she was in the 2nd grade her teacher(a very old one) told her left handedness was a horrible trait and forced her to use her right. Nothing less than a revolution ensued in my sisters head and she refused to submit. To this day she hates the mention of the 2nd grade and that teacher. As far as I can tell, the SJ types like sequence and NP types like exploring.
