Why do all engineers and scientists have to be 5's? Why are all perfectionists 1's? As it is, many times wings develop as a result of the base type. Kirk was inspired by a serious8--Horatio Hornblower--but Shatner is a 3 and wanted to play KIrk more as a 3 and so the subsequesnt character.Picard is a perfectionist driven to change things and that culminates in him developing a huge 8 strweak with which he can channel his 1 energy. He desn't have an 8 wing becasue he's a captain, he's a captain becasue hea has an 8 wing.
