: You seem like an interesting group... ofcourse I would think so since I'm an extreme example of a Type 5. (Nearly to the point of Schizoid Personality Disorder-- which, for those not familiar with the DSM-IV, is not anything near schizophrenia)

: So, I'm curious... does anyone else here tend to have problems with maintaining friendships and other relationships because of inattention? When I'm focused on something I can completely tune out the world around me for long periods of time. When I don't have something to focus on, I am chronically bored. In either state, I find myself very annoyed with people... either they are distractions from my thoughts or proponents of boredom. Is this necessarily wrong? Is there something flawed about someone who is happiest alone?

: I'm a 4w5 who loves being alone, but finds himself surrounded by people and although an introvert, can make friends easily. A strange phenomena that I learnt from life{I should make a posting on it} is this: When I wanted to be popular {3 wing more active} I found myself alone. I learned to love it. So I guess I developed myself and in doing so I developed a mystique that fascinates others. This is probably true for most 4's who went from 3 to 5................ This may sound like a 3 statement, but it is not meant to "impress".............. No, I don't think anything is wrong in enjoying one's own company.
