You're right in one sense.

3s like social roles because their identity has generally been shifted into a false self that is validated by others. I AM a salesman, a cheerleader, a doctor, a rockstar, a mother.

6s look to social roles to find a safe authority niche where they know what's expected of them... the military, the police force, a traditional family.
