Enneagram Type 5 Board Archive Sleeper was the name of that Woody Allen movie. N.T.Posted by K.B. on October 31, 2000 at 03:20:04: In Reply to: Re: Sense of Humor & Type? A Poll posted by Nyks on October 30, 2000 at 10:02:52: : : Please try to come up with 10 movie comedies &/or stand-up comedians that you find very funny (clue: something/someone you still find funny after seeing more than once or twice). Be sure to state your type also. : I consider myself to be a 5w4 (though jfive keeps typing me as a 6) and some of the funniest comedians and tv-shows I've seen come from Britain. It was nice to see someone else also appreciates Eddie Izzard, btw, he's very high on my list. I can watch him ramble on endlessly and it's always funny. The settings in a shower or sticking knives into a toaster (Toast: "Stay down, lads, stay down, feel the burn!") as a responsible adult, for example, not to mention Achilles hoovering. It's interesting that Izzard himself chose one of Woody Allen's movies as his favorite, just wish I remembered the name of it. It's the one where he ends up impersonating a robot at some stage, all I remember about it. : Otherwise, my list consists of 6 people or shows, though if I specify certain episodes or movies under those 6 we'll be well over 10. I like the acerbic wit (and self-degrading humour?) of Jerry Sadowitz quite a lot. I adore Monty Python in practically any form (*nudge nudge, wink wink*) though the funniest of the movies would seem to be Life of Brian (most consistently funny?), The Meaning of Life (the machine that goes "Ping!") partially and The Search for the Holy Grail ("She turned me into a newt!") also partially. : I also adore Blackadder's witty humour and remarks, the third season being my favourite, as BlackAdder wins at the end! Woohaa! ;) Father Ted I enjoyed for its quips against organized religion in the form of the Catholic church, as well as the general feel of it. A very sweet show, such a pity the lead actor died. *Sigh* : One show that's made me crack up every time I've seen it is Red Dwarf. It's a science fiction comedy series where you can do pretty much anything, ending up in Jane Austen world or the Wild West, but it's the dialogue and characters that gets me. I very rarely laugh out loud, but with that show I was practically rolling on the floor laughing at it.
