First, science PROVES nothing. It is just a process that becomes accepted. If you don't believe me, read my posts on the topic from a few months ago. The set of things including God does, of course, include the resurrection; what I listed was an incomplete, sketchy list that I thought touched on a few of the more important things God is. To list everything is impossible, because not everyone has exactly the same view of God, even if they have the same religion; there are tens of thousands of different lists of what God is, each specific to only one or two people.
The resurrection, along with any past action, can neither be proven nor disproven. All that is left is to believe or not believe it it, and whether one believes by spiritual or scientific reasons does not affect the validity of the belief.

: The definition of God is not as simple as you would have it seem in your opinion that "God is Not a metaphor". That "set of things" that equals God
: must include the "resurrection" for example, for it not to be a metaphor by Christian standards. You can't prove the resurrection by current scientific methods. You can only hope that is so like any one else. So, you can't justifiably say what the answer is, only ask the question like Bill did (imho). I hope, I don't make you mad I'm just talking (I'm a toss up 9w5).

: I think part of the reason people are often concerned about God issues is the thought of death and whether there is some price to pay for admission to the best seats in the house. For that question I checked out Elizabeth Kubler-Ross who spent a lifetime with the near dying and found her books interesting reading on this very topic. remember this is just friendly banter not toe-treading.
