Or do you mean, potential to have a good pattern-finding ability or differentiating ability (secondary potential)? I am not sure what you are trying to say by "potential", please explain. Using the word potential may be confusing. The model shows potential in the sense that it shows all possibilities (all different people coordinates if you will) for pattern-finding ability... what it lacks is indicating the factors for individual's ability to actualize or make there insights useful or organized. The model merely illustrates personal internal style which may or may not lead to doing external things. (Which is why I didn't like the idea of using the word "innovator" or "doer/imitator") : Well, if you have high ability in both axis (axes? How do you spell the plural of "axis"?) then you see more than what seems to be there. Maybe "insightful people"? Both of these axes seem to deal with patterns - one of them deals with finding patterns, and the other deals with finding exceptions to patterns. One creates, the other destroys. What do people who make intelligence tests call someone who is smart at working with patterns? If a person were high on both that person would see more than seems to be there-- yes, you are right. But that person would also likely have a difficult time understanding things literally (everything would be figurative) and this could give them a difficult time in mechanical subjects, scientific observation, or any kind of rote learning. I suspect the balanced person at point (0,0) would be the real ideal. "Intelligence tests" only really test of a special kind of intelligence. Many people who score at genius level on an IQ test can seem to figure out how to get a date (lack of social intelligence?) or play basketball (lack of physical/rhythm intelligence?).
