(Hmmm. Yes, I am definitely one who perfers looking for differences and inconsistancies.) I am curious to know how you arrived at this model of correlation between enneatype and focus (I do like that word choice-- "focus" rather than "ability") on similarities or differences. Is it based on identity (how one relates to oneself) rather than personality (how one relates to others)? Getting off topic a bit--> but do you think identity and personality necessarily always correspond? Threes for example always seem to have a skewed self-concept. O.K. back to matter at hand. If your enneatype model is accurate, then the thing that really jumps out at me is the special location of the 5/4 combination personality (4w5 and 5w4). This personality would lack any tendency to generalize one way or the other. (Where a 5w6 may slightly favor the 6 way of doing things) Now I wonder if this is then in some way related to introversion... being that the 5/4 combination is the only place on the ennegram with double introvert tendencies. Well, I guess all I have for you right now is a bunch of messy ideas. I'll give this a think and get back to you.
