Enneagram Type 5 Board Archive No fuckin' way.Posted by Emily [nt] (68.13.146.250) on July 28, 2002 at 02:37:13: In Reply to: so this is 5 heaven? posted by sweetheart 5w4 (195.92.194.14) on July 20, 2002 at 12:59:48: > I read your fergus thing and laugh having won chess tournaments with intensely unorthodox methods throwing opponents out of their bloody books. I only discovered this enniagram in the last 2 months and find it pathetically descriptive. > I live in a remote area writing a textbook on finance automation... a field i am an expert in having programmed the computers of several world stock exchanges and banks over 2 decades. I avoid people like the plague except for a few whom i have met around various teachers of enlightenment. > Though the 5w4 fits like a glove, i am now bored with it. so what! is that it. I'd rather smoke a joint than read on about enniagrams... at least it can cool the brain when it runs too hot. I wonder about drugs and enniagram types.... like does the feeling types 234 prefer alcohol to cannabis? Would the thinking types like cannabis? Perhaps the anger 189 types like depressants or stimulants? > I left the United States cuz i think the country has become trash with this administration and the plutocracy. Truly, i love america, but the place is a social toilet... so i live in europe where a 5's intelligence is better appreciated :-) Perhaps its just the 5 impulse to get away to a more private space... geez... i can't tell living at the end of a dirt road by the ocean whether i did it to find privacy... but, having used to work in the world trade center... i'm glad i left when i did. > I wonder what one does in my 40's now as a 5 in life. Having a shag really don't do much... certainly writing books works, and i'm at it, but it is hardly socially fulfilling. I was more alone in new york than in scotland as the locals are more emotional people and socially healthy.. (no crime at all). I just wonder all you 5's out there in your midlife, what exactly you find beyond transcendental observation and insight that really gets it up for you. > It seems only when i feel love and my center of balance shifts out of the mind to a point of stopping and profound stillness... As it stands, i love rolling in the heather with my dog and watching the ocean.
