Enneagram Type 5 Board Archive Question...Posted by Robin on November 14, 2000 at 15:56:46: In Reply to: PERSONAL ADS ANYONE? posted by Elizabeth on November 14, 2000 at 13:22:08: Elizabeth - Perhaps you're well-versed in Psychology? If so, maybe you can answer a question regarding boys who "idealize a woman" as you phrased it. (Would that also be the same as a boy projecting his anima onto a particular woman?) When I was 11, I had a crush on a particular TV character, portrayed by a very glamorous 35-year-old actress. To me, she represented the ultimate woman. Now, after many years, this actress has become a regular pen-pal of mine. I have largely lost the fascination with the TV character that she portrayed, and my infatuation has been replaced by a genuine warmth and friendship that I feel for the actress herself. I sometimes feel that some kind of healing has taken place... though I regret using the word "healing" since I didn't think the TV program nor my infatuation with the TV character had damaged me in any way. Can you comment? Thanks,
