I think if we hadn't gone over to the middle east in the first place the terrorists wouldn't hate us so much. I also think that if we go over there again and have a second Gulf War, that anti-American sentiment will increase. This will increase terrorism, which is not something we are going to be able to stamp out anytime soon. So if we want to avoid a second dark age, I would suggest leaving them alone and working to consolodate our own nation. I do not mean this in a natinalistic way, however. I think we need to function as a unit with our allies.
