I've always loved Bach's Choral music, too. I forgot to mention that. As far as classical/romantic composers go, I generally prefer those who write music for the piano...Bach's orchestral/choral music is divine, but the piano music (at least what I have) is rather dull. It's sort of the same with Mozart. The Schubert waltzes I know are some of the most fun to play. I guess the four in me occasionally needs more "violence." That's probably poor phraseology, but it's why I like the others I mentioned. : Eh Heidi, Beethoven's "moonlight Sonata" 1rst movement has always deeply touched me. I used to love listening to choral music, Mozart's requiem, Verdi's requiem, Vivaldi's, Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, Bach's St John's Passion. I still love them, yet now seek more peaceful musics, such as persian oud, pakistanese Quawali suffi songs, indian classic ragas, and some ethnic jazz (Rabhi Abou Kabib, Yan Garbarek) I also love Keth Jarret, Charly Haden, Di Meola, Ron Carter, etc... : I also love ethnic musics from different parts of the world. : Yet my favorite composers are Bach and Schubert.
