: : HELP! Try as I may I can't seem to type my wife. I think she's a 9 (warm, gregarious, helpfull, negotiator, bonds with people for life, great counseler, has a calming and healing demeanor) , but she acts alot like a 6 (constant questioning, doubtfull, sketical, detailed bargaining). She tested on the RHETI as a 2, folowed by 9 and 6.
: : I read Riso's misidentifications, but I still can't tell what type she is. Any ideas?
: Bonehead-
: I,too, had a lot of trouble typing my spouse. I kept believing he was a 9
: because in my mind that was a good match for me. Whenever he did things
: that were obviously not 9-like, I miracously ignored it. When I finally
: looked at the points of his character I was ignoring I realized he was a 1.
: My biases didn't allow me to acknowledge all of his traits ( the ones I
: liked and the ones i didn't).
: You said that the RHETI typed her as 2, followed by 9 and 6. Why do you
: think she's not a 2?

I have the same question why not Two? Enneagram Points Two and Six both have the Jungian feeling function.
In the Healthy Levels Two uses its extraverted feeling function of valuing other people and things in the world, and Six uses its introverted feeling function for valuing private inward objects of its attention.
Point Nine is a player in the 6-9 enneagram arrow, and also plays a role with Two. Often if 2 is dominant and is supported by 9, then this person might test as an ENFJ on the MBTI.
To be satified that she is a Two (Helper) I would look at the three wing in the Feeling Triad. How much is the Point Three score is below Point Six. If she's has the Type Two habit you need to decide whether the wing is at Point Three or One.
Is her score for the Hornevian Compliant Triad (Points One, Two, and Six) much higher than the other two Hornevian triads. (3-7-8 Aggressive)and (4-5-9) Withdrawn. The traits of Two and Six are consistent with the Compliant Triad.
