You've hit on an important general underlying idea here. Try thinking about it this way... Social = gut Relational/Sexual = heart Self-Preservation = head 2,3,4 = heart 5,6,7 = head 8,9,1 = gut We all have varying ratios of all 3 centers in us regardless of our 'type' but we all do have all three. To be healthy we need to keep all 3 centers in balance. A person who can do so is called "well-rounded" for a reason! In addition, in terms of MBTI... heart = feeling gut = sensation head = thinking/intuition 4th/inferior function is our psychological shadow (see Jung). Generally, our shadow is where we have the most trouble integrating the 3rd of the 3 centers. E.g., heart or feeling types are usually out of touch with thinking function, and intuitives are out of touch with sensation function, etc.
The egram is a useful inner map or instrument panel for monitoring how we are doing in keeping all 3 centers balanced enough to keep us in touch with actual realities with a minimum of distortion due to overemphasis of one of the 9 egram filters that we use. You are onto a very important and useful concept. It would be great to see more discussion of this general idea on the board. Thanks for bringing it up.
