Enneagram Main Board Archive My ListPosted by Jason on February 01, 2000 at 11:04:19: In Reply to: A path to excellence, make clear my point posted by Laurence on January 31, 2000 at 05:21:59: > What's my motivation in posting that : > We have all been hurt more than ones by people are of a different types than ours. > Yet, this type of very powerful "learning through modelising" requires some prerequisites : we only learn if we can "identify" with our model. It is like reading a good novel where the caracters are so neatly described that we get caught in it and can't help but love them, this is the way it works... That is why I asked for references of autobiographies or in depth interviews. And most Enneagram books mention names for the sole purpose of illustrating the type, a lot of those names refer to rather unheathy people and there is not most of the time any available information about them ( auto biographies or interviews). Biographies writen by some one else won't work for the purpose of modelising. Hey L! Here's my list: 1 - I also recommend "Are You the One for Me?" by Barbara DeAngelis, "Travels" by Michael Crichton, "Virus of the Mind" by Richard Brodie, "Genius" by James Gleick, and "EST - Playing the Game the New Way" by Carl Frederick
