: Bear in mind that the Enneagram sins are slightly different from what they are in ordinary English.

: Seven Gluttony refers to a hunger for new experiences, not so much excessive eating and drinking.
: (The type most likely to engage in excessive eating and drinking is Eight).

: Three Deceit refers to trying to be what is socially admirable rather than what is authentic, and not
: necessarily to a tendency to tell lies. (IMHO the type most likely to tell lies is actually Seven.)
: I personally think that Deceit is a very bad name for the Three sin and prefer Vanity or Vainglory.

Is this "hunger for new experiences" equivalent to "boredom with existing
reality"? I have often been accused of losing interest in things. Would daydreaming
about a better place to live, a better job, better friends be a Sevenish trait?

One problem I have typing myself as a Seven is that I don't party, or eat a
lot, or search for sensation in this escapist way...
