My 2nd birthday: Wondering why the kids were paying more attention to my toys than they were to me

Ages 2-5:Smiling at my mom to get out of trouble

Age 3: Going EVERYWHERE with my dad, because Mom worked at home, and that was boring to me

cont: hiding in my room when my folks watched V, the TV show that involved everyone peeling off each other's faces to show that they were aliens.

sister born breech, lots of problems, my folks paying much more attention to her then they were to me

Age 4: Deciding to teach myself to read and actually doing it

Age 4 1/2: Excitingly waiting to watch the Challenger launch because I knew a teacher was on it. (I really wanted to go to school, I guess). Knowing somehow something was wrong when all the smoke trailed from it. Watching it explode like a Roman candle, and my parents turning off the TV without explanation.
