I still think it's a bit limited. Birth order in itself doesn't say much. It's apart of something larger and more important in shaping your life - familial influence. You have to also factor in religious beliefs, how the parents treated the children, socio-economic status, etc.
Ok, there's probably a difference between 1st and 2nd borns....but what about between the 8th and 9th born in 12-children families? Or do they just get lumped in with the "middle" crowd?
Undoubtedly, our birth order plays a role in our personality, but most likely not the determining factor. By the way, have you read Adler?
