Hi Margaret,

I think what you've described could be Seven territory, especially your last sentence about too fast to think about what just happened. However, a lot depends on what you mean by "under attack." I'd hesitate very strongly to judge type based on reaction under extreme stress. Out of control situations are not really the place to try and determine type. It's better to think about what you're like under normal, stable conditions.

So here's a bit more... The Seven focus of attention is on multiple options, best-case thinking. Escaping into imagination is a real Seven trick. Sevens are fear types, but they move toward fear to try to disarm it, often using charm as a tool. Sevens don't look afraid to the outside world. Rationalizing an escape from limiting tasks, they're best in situations that call for multiphasic thinking and synthesizing lots of diverse information. Sevens love excitement, and report that indeed, "variety is the spice of life."

Does this seem to fit?

Sean

> Would you consider someone to be a 7 if their usual solution to deal with harash blows to the ego is to run from pain, literally, physically to go somehwere else, to live life on the run? When it's blocked, and leaving is no longer an option, then the only other solution left is to live life on the run in your mind, your imagination.
> Because anything but the reality of the here is now in times under attack is better then feeling what one cannot control and does not want to feel, that is to feel worthless and helpless to do anything about painful, hurtful feelings of rejection out of your reach, beond our control.
> Taking off, leaving, moving, living life on the run, too fast to think about what just happened, is this the way of a seven?

> (If so, perhaps that's what I am.)
