I've been reading My Best Self by Hurley & Dobson, and it has focused on the three centers. It seems quite accurate since it says I repress my gut (creative) center, and I would say that's the most repressed thing about me. I'm rather inactive, and could be a good example of the opposite of 3, 7, 8.
Anyways, today I was thinking about this and the Four temperaments and noticed a correlation...
SP Artisans = Gut center
NF Idealists = Heart center
NT Rationals = Head center
SJ Guardians = either
The Artisans are driven by the gut center since they are active, worldly, and follow their instincts. Idealists live their lives by empathy, harmony, and values. Rationals prefer analysis, skepticism, and autonomy. These three temperaments are clearly similar to gut/heart/head respectively. But what about the Guardians? Interestingly they don't really seem to have a preference, although individual ones could have a preference. ESFJs could be Heart types, ESTJs could be Head types, etc. They are also the backbone of society and comprise the largest group of people.
If you have more information on the three centers and such, I'd like to see some posted!
