Well if you agree with the physics/biology of Roger Penrose, Tony Smith,
etc... then the task of creating artificial human type life is
equivalent to creating a large quantum computer... I work at IBM and we
here (I don't work on this at all by the way) have created the world's
biggest quantum computer using the massive total of four "brain"
particles... we only have about 10 to the 17th power more particles to
go to equal the human brain ... John
