Supposedly one needs a brain at least 1/100th the size of the human brain in order to have our self aware "large scale" consciousness... smaller brains act like the human subconscious... and our subconscious is supposedly a smaller number of particles at work... the subconscious is supposedly more in tune with the mind of the universe and thus could be responsible for symbols like the Enneagram... the soul in these theories is a continuous mathematical "worldline" through the multiverse... spiritual ideas like God and heaven could definitely be physics processes but that doesn't make the spiritual ideas wrong, they were just noticed in a different (dreams/prophecy/etc) way. The mind of God/heaven could be a complete universe acting as a Quantum computer... supposedly this would happen with a phase transition to a period less than the Planck time and there's a branch of physics called Simplex physics that deals with the resulting "quantum computer"... this quantum computer would be more like mathematical truth tables in superposition rather than definitive particles in superposition... it is definitely not a totally understood thing in the scientific sense... The Christian Trinity should be related to sentience just like heaven is related to Simplex physics but I don't think anyone has tried to relate them yet (wish I had a phd in physics& biology instead of just a bachelors in Electrical Engineering)... I'm at IBM's original site in Endicott, NY (I don't remember whether you've asked me this before either)... I'm in an Optical Test (for circuit boards) group, I actually do more programming than engineering now, there's still alot of hardware development going on, I'm just not as involved in it as I used to be... I may move to a semiconductor test group here in Endicott later this year... IBM's quantum stuff is done at the Almaden Reserch Center in San Jose... John
