: : I was going to take a summer class at Loyola Univ about NLP/Enneagram, but I found out about it too late to register. Maybe next summer. I wish I knew more about NLP. I've taken left-brain, right brain tests and scored very left brained. Only missed 2 on the left brain IQ test. Visual? I can't remember faces, auditory? I can't remember names either. But I can rehash the whole event as to what I felt, what other's reactions were, why they reacted that way, and tear the whole situation down for you. : : My husband - he's more detail oriented over all and can remember faces better than I can as well as names. : : After thought ----- I have a strange habit of losing color swatches for the paints I've used in redecorating my house. Then I have to go to the store with absolutely nothing - just with an idea of what color it is, and I always pick out the same exact color in a different brand. I think that's an intuitive function though. The process of visualization is hidden and more connected to the feelings that color gave me. I know that in order for me to learn or remember anything I have to "see" it written. : : I guess I am visual - but more in a linguistic way. : : If not, you are kinestic.
: Then you would remeber more in slow motion, remembering what you fysically : have done.( I first went down to the shop, walked towards the meat disk, : then moved towards the milk and so on.... : You would also learn by experience. : I can name you the different eye-directions the different functios are supposed : to be located in NLP. : Down to left Audective digital (my though is that this is jungian IT) : Down to right Kinestic : Middle to left Audective remembered : Middle to right Audective created (talking right brain here) : Up to left Visually remembered : Up to right Visually created : To make an example here. If a kinestic person should create a visual picture : iside their head, they will probably first use their main function going : down to right, and then go up to right to create the picture. It's : natural that we uses our main function before using the others. : Ex, a thinker (audective digital, I belive) would go down to left, before : the other functions, but I am not saying it needs to be like this, but I : guess I am into something there. : My faith in NLP is low, but if it should work it should be something like : described above (talking of recognicing eye-movement's). There is of course : peoples that just look's away from you when talking, whitout doing anything : spesial with their eyes, and it's my guess that they then are using an : exstroverted function. : I have noticed that fours or introverted intuitives in general tend to move the eyes : mutch in bouth the audective and visual (most usual) directions. Espesially : when talking to me. Or when I ask a question and they are figuring out something. : Can anyone confirm this ? : If you are an INFJ or INFP I can't see why you scored left-brained. : Some of what you wrote looks INFP to me, meaning your visuality is connected to your feeling. : Could this be right, meaning IF is your first function. However I can't : figure out why you scored so left-brained, because, it is my impression that : four's are about the most intuitive ones, and intuision is connected with : creativity and the right part of the brain. : If this is so my hunch would go more in the direction of ISFP (the composer)and : kinestic and after what I understand there are quite a lot ISFP : fours. If you are kinestic you should be good at trowing some trash in : the trash-tank from long distance. If you are an ISFP (or INFP) you could have been : saying too your husband that you are to tired to think many times. : Your abilety to choose the right color whitout map sounds like a : sensing function to me, that could be combined with an introverted : intuision that would be your 3 function if you are an ISFP. : Or IF combined with EN as a second function if you are an INFP. : If your mate is an ISTJ and you have top compabillety as a couple, you : should be eighter ENFJ, INFP or ESTP. : That he is an ISTJ nearly rules out the possebillety that you are an : INFJ because that's horrible compabillety, meaning constant misunderstandings. : Then on the other hand ESTJ and INFJ is just as good match as : INFP and ISTJ, exellent. : Hope I doesn't confuse you... : About the music thing, I wasnt asked, but I am very found of : heavy rock, techno (fun to listen to), and rock in general. : For me it's the mood the music creates and not the material that's : important. Of course the material is important then...But I guess : you get's my point. : Classic music get's to slow and boring for me. Choping get's to : uncomfortable for me. **********Sorry - I have no idea why I wrote left-brained. I meant right brained. My husband and I are constantly having misunderstandings. But there's a common thread of romanticizing things - more like western style than romeo & juliet, (example: when we sign cards, he's Desperado and I'm Queen of Hearts) and we have the same tastes in movies, music, shows, sports, etc. We're both X-file fans, we love action or intense movies (DieHard, Lethal Weapon, etc.) we like watching the nature channel, and would rather watch gymnastics or individual sports than team sports. We still love the old Bon Jovi songs, Cougar songs, Skynnyrd, etc. I love Chopin only when I'm playing the piano - not to listen to. And I have a streak of aggressiveness in me - not assertive aggressiveness like him, but even when I was young (first grade) I remember having fantasies about fighting the kids who were beating up my older brother. As far as my eyes - when I was thinking about what you wrote - my eyes went up and to the right. Bingo. When I'm talking to someone who's personality is much like mine, my eyes do shift sometimes and I find it hard to concentrate on making eye contact. Do you write ?(poems, stories, etc.)
