You're right. One thing that does inhibit me is that I'm a perfectionist, and I won't write down the play till it's "ready". I have an internal vision of what I would like it to be and the message I want it to convey, now I just have to fill in the space. I guess there is also a fear of action inside of me. I don't like to do anything or assert myself...not even chores. Today I should've got gas, but I was too lazy.
But I think I will listen to your advice and just start Writing. Even if it's terrible.
