I like to take my time, which can mean a couple of hours. As long as things as progressing to something, it actually feels good, I can recommend it to everyone. If you are afraid the woman is going to leave you at any given moment or is trying to give you blue balls, then it's a different thing, of course.
Maybe just a little mutual respect would do good. It's totally insane for a man to expect that a woman reads a man's mind and does whatever he happens to want at spot, if the man doesn't give any reasons to do so. Same applies the other way around. If a woman doesn't care about his man and treats him like trash, he surely won't treat her like a princess.
I think when talking about these issues, people get too technical and talk about lovin' as though it was some work out routine: 2x8 repetitions and that's it. Press that spot and squeeze that and you score an extra point. But hey, wasn't sex supposed to be fun? At least I think so. Comparing it to performing music, it should be more like two friends (or more, I'm not interested in details--for each what they like) jamming together and having fun. Most people seem to think it's like performing at an audition, where each little bit of your perfomance is judged.
But then again, I've been told I'm slow in bed.
