G.A.W., I do not disagree. In fact for an E,gr board there is an amazing
amount of MBTI posting. My humble effort was to look from a different perspective
Enneagram helps me understand my motivation. MBTI helps me to understand
my choices. Subsumed within those choices is my underlying motivation. A
4 asking about 7 'behavior' is not questioning Enneatype IMO, but curious
about the implications. I do not think it represents some E,gr subtype,
it (MBTI reference) is just suggesting 'can one look at this differently?'
If I am a 9 why do I do such and such, misses the point for me. I do
such and such because I have independent free will (and responsibility.)
In what way does such and such represent my 9-ness, and in what way could
I do this differently, if I chose to? The E,gr makes suggestions: Go to
3. It is up to me to decide what that entails for me, a triad type. I
personally would chose E,gr over MBTI if I were allowed only one tool in
my service package. It is an imperfect tool, though.
