This is an embarassing thing I said, of course.
We have a chocolate bar which was fairly new at the time called an 'Applause' bar. I went to our local corner shop and was waiting to buy one while the woman serving was chatting to another woman. She was late middle age, and was moaning on about loads of things wrong with her which were all mild things, like feeling flushed or toothache or headache. Anyway when she finally stopped winging on and asked, 'Can I help you?', I sasked for an Applause bar, and then for some unknown reason I said to her, 'Oh, I nearly said 'a menopause bar''. I've no idea what made me say that, think it yes, but to tell the woman!
