Gigi,

It's nice of you to give the topic your best of intentions to understand. The reading offered is only the barest of introductions to a way of being that requires tremendous discipline. The artist, naturally, starts with ideas regarding questions on the nature of art: what is objective art versus subjective art? And the only way to realize the answer is to find the way to create an objective part in one's self. The subjective mind cannot understand 'objective art' because the subjective mind cannot be objective.

What you'd read was a talk between one who had demonstrated, many times, his ability to see objectively, and those who were aiming to develop an objective being. At this point, your discussions with artist friends, while pleasing in some way, will not reveal the fact of the matter. As each day one stumbles upon fragments of teachings that were derived from dynamic, organic whole systems, one must be careful to use the information to fuel the wish to be, instead of using the information to prove or disprove an idea that is essentially unproveable through intellect alone.

The sincerity will take you far...

Regards,

Eric

Someone knows. Do you really want to?
