I'm a very avoidant person. It's difficult for me to try and know someone else, or converse with them at length. It's even compounded worse when it's a girl I like - I NEVER ask a girl out unless I'm 100% she wants me bad (and since i haven't found one like that, no dates!). Or if I'm in a situation which requires Unplanned action/conversation, in other words, where I don't have a "manual" to guide me I get confused and nervous. Like in scripted, role settings I'm fine (work), but when it comes to the spontaneous and personal it scares me. I'm shy in other things. If there's someone swimming in the neighborhood pool I won't go down there.

Yet some things about me you only find in extreme extraverts. I'm not afraid to make a sexually suggestive comment (provided that my job isn't on the line!). I can also be a witty conversationalist. And when it comes to public speaking, I do fine. I don't think about everyone looking at me, well it's in the back of my mind but it doesn't bother me. I was in theatre in high school and loved the exhilaration of it all. Of course, if the audience is responding warmly, I react to that and get energized. If they think coldly of me, I get self-conscious and afraid.
