Sounds to me (forgive me...) looks to me to be a flaming WAR!!! Ouch...

I am inciteful... [not necessarily insightful]. However, Walter and I have had a few discussions of a quasi-scholarly nature. I am not at all certain that either MBTI nor Enneagram has REAL value as a psychological, spiritual or any other "-al" tool. Being trained in the "dismal science", as I am, I tend to believe that the world operates on incentive, everything else is commentary! I am trying to ascertain the incentive for someone to develop as a SIX or a FOUR, or myself as a SEVEN. But then psychology itself lacks the discipline of pure scientific research. And shall we analyze my current field and its reliance on the planted axiom for "theory proofs". within the field of education today much of what passes for theory is unaldulterated hogwash which will not stand-up to null-hyothesis scutiny by any respected Scientist. It is opinion heaped upon opinion and cited and recited ad nauseum. The primary pupose is to say it often enough to make it believable, and if we make it believeable maybe we can dress it up and point to it as truth, and if we believe it is truth maybe we can say it is knowledge, and... we the point is always the same... it is NOT Science.

On the other hand, why do we all insist on attempting to limit the tools we use? A carpenter would not build a house using just a hammer. Nor would a Carpenter write a song without an E sharp major. It takes all kinds of tools to do the best work possible.

Sorry, just a thought from some anonymous, no email posting, neophyte. Some of you may wish to share my world view, but trust me, the inside of my colon is not that pretty!
