Ever heard of the Holland system of career types? The six main Holland orientations:
Realistic: prefer practical, hands on work
Investigative: like working that involves thinking and problem solving
Artistic: prefer creative, unstructured work
Social: like work that involves helping others
Enterprising: seek leadership and high status jobs
Conventional: like structured, predictable, secure jobs
Here is how I think they correlate to enneagram types:
1w2: conventional with social or enterprising
1w9: conventional with investigative or realistic
2w1: social with conventional
2w3: social with enterprising
3w2: enterprising with social
3w4: enterprising with artistic
4w3: artisitic with enterprising
4w5: artistic with investigative
5w4: investigative with artistic
5w6: investigative with conventional or realistic
6w5: conventional with investigative or realistic
6w7: conventional with enterprising
7w6: ?
7w8: ? probably low conventional though
8w7: enterprising
8w9: enterprising with realistic?
9w1: conventional with investigative?
9w8: conventional with realistic
