Em, I suspect that your concerns are actually a reflection of Fours' way of paying attention and noticing what is missing, i.e., what about.... It is a relentless observation that something is missing, and Moi, I, noticed it. The inner question, Why? is not an exclusively four question, but a typical four concern. It feeds into the uniqueness and individuality. I think that the E'gr monthly editors are a 4/3 twosome ( Aspell and ?) Riso and Hudson are 4/5. Pat O'leary (3) says in the E'gr monthly that "wings do not fly." Pat has lots of participants and data to support the observations that he makes ( twenty something years.) Us non-wing Ennea-types believe that there are 9 types and each of us possess all the attributes. We just prefer one way of paying attention. The next preferred could be called a "primary wing," and so on; but the focus is on arrow theory ( also controversial.) That is, fours might be better served if they focus on 1758241758241... rather than wondering about Aries on the cusp of venus, und so weiter. We all use "wings" as a short hand, but it is not an attempt to be precise in E'gr terms, and it sounds like astrology. My guess is that if your are a four you are likely and INFP or E/INFP. Those are just descriptors to help you see your self reflected in the four mirror or E/INFP mirror. Starting to talk about the mirror is fun but not teribbly productive (obviously, I am a T.) Say that you are on a trip and wondering why you get lost. Someone hands you a map. You are talking about the map and the roadsigns. "Has anyone considered those reversible lanes before, or is it just me?" It is the journey. Four goes to One. If you make a better map on the way, that's nice. I do not intend sarcasm; my pc and browser are frustrateding me and I am a bit annoyed as I write as a result. Going to one for a four is about being instead of feeling and thinking. It is like a Zen Koan. Meditation is not the answer.
