: One possible function of dreams may be to work out some of
: the psychological stress in our lives, by "living through it".
: Could it be that, since you are (I believe) a Six, perhaps your
: mind is recognizing, and trying to deal with, some of your
: Threeish tendencies caused by stress?

I think during dreams all the subconsious conclusions are made, including all the incorrect ones. (wishfull-thinking for example). Like a nightmare deals with fear. Think about it. You keep waking up before the dream is ended, otherwise you would not remember the dream. And once you fear is over, the nightmares are gone as well. Isnt is very logical to think, the fear has ended, because in the dream for once it has a happy end or at least, the 'danger' was confronted.

However, I no longer believe in Enneagram types. I would rather say, we are more consious about one of the types. Everybody has his phobic-counterphobic turning point. And are the traits of 3,7,8 and 1 a result of counterphobic behaviour. Like 2,4,5 and 9 are a result of phobic behaviour. Just an idea that popped in my head. It isnt really interesting if its true or not, the perspective itself I find intersting enough. I really dont know what's real of not anymore. I shouldnt think I can, they're all theories anyway. Including the enneagram.

: I think it would be interesting to keep a dream journal. I
: believe there are techniques available for remembering
: one's dreams more vividly. Combined with the enneagram,
: this may unlock some secrets locked in the psyche.

Does any one know any of the techniques to have more control over remembering a dream, yet still have it have the same effect on your life. (I feel the end is the most crucial part --> do we believe in a happy or sad -end)

I for example had a dream about an out-of-body experience. I know it was a dream cuz I was on a bus in the middle of french, dreaming I was looking down on myself while I was laying on the living room back in Holland. (if I had a dream about this happening in the bus, it would really have freaked me out). Yet I noticed me getting more scared to die and to die.. going futher and futher away.. then I woke up in the bus with heavy breaving and stuff. I still havent figured out what it is I fear, that caused the dream, but it sure as hell scared the hell out of me.

I hope I havent bored you all to death here with my drain-of-thoughts.
