Walter:

This correspondence will be to deal with a few housekeeping details before I am able to respond to the details of your message.

1. I believe that the best way to describe my Egram point is to say that I am a SEVEN with a well developed w6/8. That is to say that I default to point SIX as often as I default to point EIGHT behaviors. I generally "snap" to ONE under stress, resorting to organization and rules whenever things appear to be "out-of-control". I have noticed an extremely and finely defined preferrence to move toward the FIVE behavior of research, fact finding and analysis to satisfy doubts. Indeed, I have been charged here with the possiblility of mis-typeing myself as a SEVEN when the writer believes that I display more accute behavior types of a FIVE. I do slip into "reservation" mode and require that I have my "wind-down" time frequently. However, in terms of "wing" preferrence I would definitely say that both EIGHT and SIX are defaulted to about equally.

2. No, the SEVEN discussion group did not develop. Personally, that was frustrating... but I attribute that to my w6/8 behavior: the EIGHT (commander) prompted me to post the message, the SIX (doubter) prevented me from follow-up action.

3. We need, I believe a few basic definitions of SENSING and INTUITING. ( I promise to pull out Kiersy, and discuss with my spouse (a Certified MBTI administor... or whatever you call those folks)some limits of definition.

4. Most of the rest will have to wait until I have the time re-read and respond to your missive.

5. Question: Children who play fantasy role-playing games (formerly: Dungeons and Dragons; currently: Ultima On-line) are they more likely to be Sensors or Intuitors? My first guess is to expect that they are iNtuitive types yet because it requires ACTION my second guess is that they are more Sensate oriented. Would a survey of players reveal a MBTI trend toward one or the other; more importantly, would it reveal an Enneagram point type majority/minority distinction between SEVENS and FOURS? Perhaps we could design a "null-hypothesis" for this or at minimum a testing instrument.
