I don't really use the big five scores, but the 30 facet scale score in the NEO-PIR. There you find the interesting stuff and the things which help identify disorders.

Also interesting is the Big Five matix (only in dutch available) combining the bif 5 extremes and then supplying keywords; this works very well and gives a new dimension to the big five traits. So there can be an added value from international research in defining big 5 score patterns which in themselves don't say much but indicate things because of research among special target groups. Don't throw things in the paperbin too soon.

Perhaps interesting: I have seen many people high on stability (low neuroticism) who got into problems because of their 'very stability'; they forgot things, and also they were a bit boring, un-animated stable.
