The enneagram is not "about" anything. The enneagram is a thing, a tool, a
psychological construct. It's not a work of art or literature with a
built-in theme. We each use it in our own way. The above statement
expresses a desire originating from an aversion to external judgment, not
a fact.

Am I the only one who just HATES those folksy TV commercials in which the
narrator is saying, "It's about X ... and Y ... It's about P ... and
Q ..." (always with that same infernal rhythm). I just want to scream:
"IT'S A CAR/BREAKFAST CEREAL/INSURANCE POLICY! IT'S NOT *ABOUT* ANYTHING,
GODDAMNIT!" Then I take a deep breath, ask myself why I'm watching
television in the first place and shut it off.
