In my mid-twenties, I went through a crisis of four pain. I realized that I needed to stop repeating unhealthy life patterns. The baggage I had carried around had to be dealt with. I found going to a therapist extremely helpful, even when there were many times I did not want to go. If you are a four and are carrying around some awful childhood pain that is affecting your day to day life and decisions, therapy might help. I went for four years. It helped me deal with the sense of shame and self-hatred I was carrying around, also the huge mood swings. I now am on a pretty even keel emotionally and keep busy and active. I live "in the present". You can leave behind shame, guilt, horrible mood swings, hopelessness, and helplessness. I did, and lived to tell the tale.
