Enneagram Main Board Archive Some thoughts and conclusions so farPosted by Cory on January 01, 2001 at 12:27:20: In Reply to: Take the NEWEST Enneagram test!!! posted by Cory on December 31, 2000 at 22:05:10: The most interesting aspect of these tests, so far, is that every single person has an adjacent wing. I don't think it was intentional (whether conscious or unconscious), but I would need more data to support the adjacent wing. I also noticed two different personality patterns: Characterized and Muddled. Characterized people score very high on their enneatype, but score very low on all the others. Muddled people either don't have an enneatype which sticks out, or they score a lot of positive points on the other types. Here's some examples... Characterized -- Cathy She scored neutral or negative on all non-Four scores but scored nearly off the chart on Four. Muddled -- Cory It's clear I am a 6w5, but I also have strong support from most of the other types, which are all about equal in me (except for Eight, obviously). So Cathy is "characterized" and a dominant Four, while I am "muddled" and only slightly a Six. I wouldn't say Muddled people are any more complex than Characterized, only more difficult to pinpoint on the enneagram. I imagine if Cathy and I went to an enneagram conference, people would rapidly identify her while I may be misidentified for several other types. So far, it seems to be very accurate, giving everybody's main type and wing correctly. Of course, I dont know if that's the result of our subconscious mind "nudging" us towards certain questions. It would be interesting to see it electronized and without the [5] indicators on the end. Thank you all for your participation and opinions. =o) I don't know if I will necessarily market this however. I'm more interested in promoting the theory of the enneagram than capitalizing off of it (although being an enneagramist would beat my stock boy job!) -Cory
