: ...But I must admit, I do agree with the "one-wing" theory for the most part. I like to think I've developed an intuitive sense for sub-type distinctions. My sense of the difference between 4w3 and 4w5 is VERY strong, for instance. Ditto for all the numbers -- especially 3, 5, 6, and 9. However, I'm still working on 1. 1w2 is a curious combination, and the (evident) 1w2's I've known have been somewhat introverted. Also, the 9/2 confusion can be an issue. I'm going to have to look deeper, I guess. I think these double-wingers must be mysterious or something. 6 and 8 (wings of 7) can be similar to each other. So can 4 and 6, 4 and 2. The overall point: some people may have only one wing, even though they might sometimes seem to have two. But is there such a similarity between 3 and 5? 7 and 9? ... 8 and 1 are not very similar in my opinion, but 9's are known for "wandering around" the enneagram, so it's not surprising for me to see my 9 friend act like an 8, then a 4, then a 1, and so on. I am thinking that the 3-5 situation could represent a "public/private split" in a type 4 individual. A possible topic for further discussion that I'm getting too weary to write about right now: I've noticed that, like a preference for one wing, some people seem to have a preference for one connecting point, to the near-exclusion of the other (for instance, 4c1 or 4c2). : And yes, we're having fun. :> At least I hope *you* are. I know I am. Always a pleasure to share these things. Derf Hello: Always good to hear from you.....Double-winger, I like that ....I appreciate what your saying for sure and am encouraged to hit the books ........I think there could be something in that public/private split........It's just great being able to hear what so many people have to offer.....Can I ask where your from .......You could be a mile from here or thousands.....what a concept...the net certainly does open ones world up. eh.....I guess that reveals I'm Canadian, from Nelson BC........goodnight actually goodmorning .....catch you later.
