> Wow! That it is so great to read about someone who has had such a positive experience with their parents! My experience was so painful and awful, I've been deathly afraid, in my adult life, to have children of my own until very recently. Now that I've resolved a lot of my own issues, I realize that it is really possible to live a different life than the one you were shown. Anyway, reading a post like yours makes me so hopeful and happy! I know that no situation is perfect, but I guess it never occurred to me that people could actually be happy in families before about a year ago.

wow... that gave me goosebumps...! I don't know what to say! I'm just really happy that you responded the way you did to my post!
You know, I think 4's DO make very good parents... As I mentioned before, my Dad is a 4... And 4's understand about emotions, about uniqueness, about a person's need for space/privacy, they understand "moods", and at the same time know how important it is to make someone feel special and not defective... They are very aware of how important a nice word or gesture can be... My dad always seemed to know when I needed to be alone or when I needed to talk... Also (and I am noticing this in myself too as a new mom) we are in constant awe of our children... all the little details...and a child notices and feels that. We can't help ooh-ing and aah-ing...

I'm saying all of this because you DO have lots of reasons to be hopeful about having children in a happy home, about being a wonderful parent. :)
