I see what you are saying but disagree. The 3 would fake the deep thinking and be conscious of making a good impression. The gist of their conversation would revolve around what people are thinking about them rather than being lost in thought and talking about obscure and intuitive topics. Rather than pleasing parents as a core motivation, it is a sub route from the major road of being influenced by parents into the values of the style of thought and learning.
