Top Eleven(!) signs that you are a Type Four:
11. You have a regular job which just pays the bills, and what you call
your "real" job which allows you to truly express yourself.
10. You have a t-shirt which has "I AM UNIQUE" in bold, day-glo letters.
9. The sight of happy couples invariably fills your head with images of
the two of them roasting slowly over open flames.
8. Your significant other gave you a yo-yo for your birthday, as a
symbol of your typical relating pattern. ;)
7. You once got naked, painted yourself in various colors, and jumped
into the fountain in front of the art museum, just to
"make a statement."
6. You make sure there aren't any razor blades, sleeping pills, loaded
revolvers, or sturdy ropes laying around the house just to
be safe during your "low times."
5. You are secretly convinced that you are the result of some alien
breeding experiment, surrepititiously placed as an infant in
the family of a typical white-bread suburban community.
4. You commit a huge amount of time, effort, and heart to a truly
special yet arcane work of art which symbolizes everything
important about you, then get very upset when you finally get
to hang it in the gallery and people "don't get it."
3. If someone actually does seem to "get" your work of art, you either
a) Automatically think less of them
b) Tell them that they completely missed the whole point.
2. You have a sign hanging above your bedroom door:
"Abandon hope all ye who enter here."
And the #1 sign that you are a type 4:
1. You spend ten times as much time imagining yourself in various
"pretend" relationships as you actually end up spending in
>real< ones.
