: : Fortunately the enneagram personality preferences are somewhat in their infancy in high school.

: I think anyone who knew me well would argue that I was a One from age 2.
: You may not be able to IDENTIFY enneagram type easily in a younger person,
: but that doesn't mean the type itself is still undeveloped.

I definitely have been a 4 since very young also. Very dramatic, quiet, sensitive, prone to daydreaming and fantasy. I used to contrive some great stories (which my parents called lies) and never never had any use for rules. I'm still plagued by an overactive imagination.
In highschool I was the soap opera queen because anyone who listened to me thought I lived in a dramatic make-believe world (which I did), but I was still painfully shy and avoidant. I'm not sure that I ever felt at a certain age that I was "defective", but more like I didn't pertain to my parents or I didn't belong. When I ask my mother what I was like when I was a young child, the only thing she can think of is that I never moved. I would sit around painting, coloring, writing, daydreaming, etc. Very high capacity for concentration, but not active. If I had known at that time that intrapersonal intelligence was an acceptable and proven intelligence to have, my existence would have been much easier.
